Noticeboard

Out of Hours
The hours between 6:30 pm and 8:00 am are covered by a deputising service. If you need to contact this service during these hours telephone 111.

Telephone Advice
If you have a problem or a question which you feel does not merit making an appointment then the doctors are all available for contact by phone. Please call between 2pm and 3pm to speak to a doctor.  If the doctor is not available and it is appropriate we may take a message or you may be asked to call back.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

There's an App for that!!

All smartphone users can now download the "Patient Access" App. This uses your current online patient access login details so you can now book appointments and order prescriptions on the run

Text Reminder

We are pleased to announce a new service for our patients, we are now able to send text messages to remind you of a forthcoming appointment at the surgery. Please help us to improve this service by making sure we have an up to date mobile phone number. If you wish to opt out of this service please inform reception.

Appointments

All GP appointments are of 10 minutes duration. It is helpful to bear in mind that it is difficult for any GP to attend properly to several problems in one 10 minute appointment, so please try to ensure you go with one problem, or two at the most.

Named GP

From the 1st April 2015 NHS England introduced a contractual requirement of a named GP for all patients.  Please ask at reception if you do not know who your named GP is, or you wish to change your named GP.  These new arrangements do not prevent you making an appointment or seeing any doctor of your choosing within the surgery as you would normally do.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF THE BUILDING WORK AT THE SURGERY. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE REAR LOBBY ENTRANCE WILL NOW BE OUT OF USE FOR THE NEXT THREE WEEKS AND ALL PATIENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ACCESS THE BUILDING FROM THE NEW FRONT DOOR.  ANY PATIENT WHO THINKS THEY MAY HAVE DIFFICULTY ACCESSING THE FRONT DOOR, PLEASE ALERT RECEPTION WHEN BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT. THE SURGERY CAR PARK WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE DURING THIS TIME AND WE WOULD ASK ALL DISABLED PATIENTS TO PARK SAFELY AT THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. WE KINDLY ASK ALL OTHER PATIENTS TO EITHER CONSIDER WALKING (IF THIS IS POSSIBLE) OR  PARK CONSIDERATELY TO RESIDENTS IN THE SURROUNDING AREA. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.

Welcome to Alpine House Surgery Online

Our Practice Manager is: Karen Tanner

alpine house surgeryThe practice was established in 1984 practising from a Victorian house complete with its own fruit orchard. The premises were extensively extended and refurbished in 1990 to provide ground floor consulting rooms together with purpose built treatment and patient waiting areas. Further development took place in 2001 to create a first floor administration suite. All consulting rooms are on the ground floor and are designed with disabled people in mind.

We are a partnership of two male doctors and one female doctor and we employ one female and two male salaried doctors. You are welcome to see any doctor, but we do encourage you to see the same doctor for each episode of illness.

We have a small car park with limited spaces for Patients. There is on street parking available on Rothley Road and Halstead Road

The practice prides itself on providing good quality family medicine, delivered in a well organised and timely manner by well trained and motivated professional staff. We are keen to help with Minor Injuries here at the surgery, to avoid long waiting times at the Urgent Care and Walk-In Centres and A+E. We encourage all our patients to make use of this service by contacting a member of our Reception Team.

This surgery website is used to present all our patients with up to date news and information about our practice. We will keep it current with any developments or other details that we feel are relevant to you.
