Out of Hours
The hours between 6:30 pm and 8:00 am are covered by a deputising service.  If you need to contact this service during these hours telephone 0845 0450411. 

Telephone Advice
If you have a problem or a question which you feel does not merit making an appointment then the doctors are all available for contact by phone.  Please call between 11:30 am and 12 noon or between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm.

Community Midwives

The community midwives run all our antenatal clinics and visit patients at home as necessary. Clinics run on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.

Community Nurses

The Community Nursing Team specialise in taking care of house bound patients. They receive referrals from local
hospitals and doctors. They are based at Barrow Health Centre and can be contacted on 01509 410276

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a qualified nurse who has taken further training to obtain the Health Visitor Qualification. They are notified of all births and offer help and advice to parents. They can be contacted by calling 01509 410244.

Counsellors

Your GP may refer you to our Practice Therapist. Therapists are qualified mental health professionals who work in GP
surgeries. They provide talking treatments for people who may be suffering from emotional or psychological difficulties. This may be especially helpful when problems are of a sensitive nature or are painful.. Your GP will advise you how to make an appointment if he/she thinks it is appropriate.
